Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, HR, business administration, or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in payroll and benefits administration.
• Strong knowledge of multi-state payroll laws including FLSA, ACA, COBRA, ERISA and IRS regs.
• Experience with payroll/HRIS systems (e.g., ADP, Paychex, BambooHR, Full Circle).
• CPP certification preferred; ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Attention to detail, problem-solving, and deadline-driven in fast-paced environment.
• Active interest in AI-enabled tools to improve productivity and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee payroll processing, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and regulatory compliance.
• Manage benefits programs including enrollment, renewals and employee communications.
• Prepare payroll tax filings and government reports; conduct internal audits of payroll/benefits data.
• Lead system upgrades, automation, and integration projects with HRIS/IT teams.
• Coordinate with external vendors during acquisitions and open enrollment campaigns.
