Our client, a fast-growing, venture-backed cloud governance and compliance SaaS company is seeking a sales-first partner leader to build and scale our Distribution and MSP ecosystem across the Americas.
This is not a traditional alliance management role. We are looking for a quota-carrying hunter who will focus on recruiting new partners, activating them, and growing existing relationships through hands‑on business development, co‑selling, and GTM execution.
This is a builder role inside a fast‑growing startup. The ideal candidate has operated in a small, nimble organization, worn multiple hats, and personally driven revenue — not relied on large support teams.
This role is about building, activating, and monetizing partnerships.
What Will You Do
- Recruit and onboard new distribution and MSP partners
- Build and execute partner GTM plans (co-sell, enablement, pipeline generation)
- Leveraging your partner‑ecosystem as a force‑multiplier is a must!
- Drive partner-sourced and partner-led revenue.
- Grow existing partners by expanding footprint, use cases, and revenue streams
- Build pipeline, manage forecasting, and close revenue
- Conduct executive business reviews and build senior-level relationships
You will wear multiple hats:
Business Development. GTM Architect. Account Manager. Partner Enabler. Closer.
What You Have Done
- 5–7 years of quota-carrying sales experience (partner/channel or direct sales)
- Demonstrated history of winning new logos
- Experience building and executing GTM motions in the partner ecosystem
- Proven ability to recruit MSPs or similar partners and scale them into revenue-producing assets
- Has operated in a startup or small organization, personally owning BD + AM + GTM execution
- Clear “hunter” DNA — proactive, resourceful, resilient, high hustle
- Has carried a revenue number and consistently delivered
- Strong intellectual horsepower; coachable and adaptable
Additional Expertise
- Strong understanding of managed services and key partners (Distribution, LSPs, MSPs, Microsoft, Amazon, Google…)
- Knowledge of their sales segments, verticals, incentive structures, and ecosystem dynamics
- Understanding of cloud business models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS)
- Ability to position differentiated value inside multi-tier channel environments
What This Role Is NOT
- Not a passive alliance manager
- Not a partner marketing position
- Not a large‑enterprise ecosystem overseer
- Not someone dependent on big-company infrastructure to execute
- Not someone who simply “manages relationships”
