Job summary

Essen Health Care is seeking a Senior Manager to lead Diagnostic & Procedural Operations across Pain Management, Neurology, Orthopedics, and Sports Medicine sites in New York. This role drives operational excellence, patient access, and efficient use of clinical resources, partnering with physicians and executive leaders.

The ideal candidate will manage high-volume diagnostic/procedural services, oversee scheduling, staffing, equipment, and room utilization while ensuring regulatory compliance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive healthcare operations experience.
• Experience managing multi-site ambulatory operations preferred.
• Strong knowledge of procedural and diagnostic service lines (Pain Management, Neurology, Orthopedics, Sports Medicine).
• Demonstrated experience leading operational performance through KPI management and data analytics.
• Experience with physician practice operations, scheduling optimization, and staff leadership.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required.
• Proficiency with EMR systems and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational leadership across multiple Pain Management, Neurology, Orthopedic, and Sports Medicine locations.
• Direct and support supervisors, technologists, medical assistants, and front-end staff across multiple sites.
• Standardize workflows and operational processes for consistency and efficiency.
• Collaborate with physicians and leadership to improve patient access, provider utilization, and clinic capacity.
• Oversee diagnostic and procedural programs including Interventional Pain, EMG, EEG,Wireless EEG and fluoroscopy.
• Develop strategies to expand service lines and improve referral pathways and volumes.
• Lead recruitment, onboarding, and retention of staff; coach and manage performance.
• Ensure compliance with policies, regulatory requirements, and patient safety standards.
• Monitor departmental productivity, expenses, and resource utilization; participate in budget planning.
• Develop dashboards and executive reports for leadership review.
