HelloFresh in New York is seeking a Senior Manager to lead the Packaging Strategic Procurement team. You will oversee a team of Strategy Managers, own budgeting for packaging categories, and drive COGS management and supplier performance across North America.

You will negotiate contracts, develop category strategies, manage risk, and collaborate with Ops, Legal, Finance, and Product teams to deliver packaging solutions and continuous improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, Legal, or similar.
• 5+ years of experience as a procurement/sourcing lead.
• Knowledge of the strategic sourcing process/methodologies and ability to read contract language.
• Experience building supply chains and developing creative solutions.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%, including internationally.
• Experience in Food, Agriculture, or the CPG industry is a strong asset.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Procurement: Act as SME across multiple categories to support North American Sourcing, develop category strategies and execute supply chain transformation projects.
• Negotiation & Contracts: Negotiate contracts with suppliers and manage pre- and post-award activities, inventory strategy, and cross-functional coordination.
• Risk Mitigation: Negotiate Master Services Agreements, liaise with in-house counsel, and build a robust supply chain to reduce disruption risk and total spend.
• Budget Ownership: Build and manage brand budgets, execute financial management, cost savings roadmap, and waste metrics.
• Collaboration and Communication: Lead procurement tasks with cross-functional teams, align with Ops, Legal, Finance, Product Validation, etc.
• Develop new packaging solutions with stakeholders and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
