Job summary

WeightWatchers is a global digital health company seeking a Senior Manager, Accounting to lead the day-to-day execution, quality, and transformation of the North America accounting operations. You will oversee expenses, close activities, and ensure audit-ready support under the North America Controller, building scalable processes across evolving offerings.

The role requires strong accounting judgment, leadership experience, and a track record in maintaining internal controls and SOX compliance

Qualifications

• Minimum 8+ years of progressive accounting experience with leadership of accounting teams and monthly/quarterly close.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and ability to oversee accruals, operating expenses, payroll, leases, fixed assets, intercompany, and balance sheet accounting.
• Experience reviewing journal entries, reconciliations, financial analyses, and audit support with high completeness and accuracy.
• Solid understanding of internal controls and SOX in a public company environment.
• Proven ability to drive process improvement, clarify ownership, and build team capability in evolving systems and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead NA general accounting and operating expense close activities, manage close calendar, dependencies, and timely close.
• Oversee journal entries, reconciliations, analyses, and schedules with audit-ready documentation.
• Understand key accounting flows for U.S./Canada operations, including payroll, leases, intercompany, and restrictive areas.
• Drive variance and flux analyses and partner with FP&A to explain results and risks.
• Escalation point for accounting issues with clear recommendations.
