Job summary

Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. seeks a seasoned engineering leader to own an existing at-scale ML compute platform and drive its multi-year technical strategy.

You will lead a team of 3–5 managers and roughly 40–50 engineers spanning hardware bring-up, firmware, cluster management, and application software. The ideal candidate has deep systems software expertise, strong operational instincts for large-scale software delivery, and experience aligning roadmaps across ML frameworks, hardware

Qualifications

• 10+ years of engineering experience.
• 5+ years of engineering team management.
• 10+ years of planning, designing, developing and delivering consumer software experience.
• Experience partnering with product or program management teams.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent programs, projects and development teams in an Agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Own an existing, at-scale ML compute platform and set multi-year technical strategy.
• Lead a team of 3–5 managers and ~40–50 engineers across hardware bring-up, firmware, cluster management, and application software.
• Define long-term platform direction and make architectural/investment bets.
• Influence partners across organizational boundaries and ensure alignment of roadmaps.
