Job summary

Consumer Technology Association (CTA) in Arlington,VA is seeking a Senior Manager of Membership Development to take ownership of recruitment from prospecting to close. The role emphasizes building pipelines, closing deals, and onboarding new members into advocates for the association.

You will lead end-to-end recruitment, report to the Senior Director of Membership Development, and work in a hybrid environment with a focus on growth and relationship-building within the tech community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, communication, marketing, or related field preferred or commensurate experience.
• Minimum of seven years of appropriate work experience with association membership development, or sales.
• Experience managing and developing staff preferred; association/consumer tech or sales/marketing background advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end recruitment cycle — from lead generation and outreach to proposal, negotiation, and close.
• Hunter mindset: build pipelines from scratch, pursue strategic prospects with energy and creativity, and close.
• Manage onboarding to turn new members into long-term advocates; report to Senior Director.

As the Senior Manager of Membership Development, you will take end-to-end ownership of the recruitment cycle — from lead generation and outreach to proposal, negotiation, and close. This is not a passive relationship-management role. The ideal candidate is a hunter: someone who builds pipelines from scratch, pursues strategic prospects with energy and creativity, and closes. The Senior Manager also manages the onboarding experience that turns new members into long-term advocates. This role reports to the Senior Director of Membership Development.

Qualified candidates offer:

• Previous association, consumer tech industry, or sales and marketing experience preferred

Salary Range: $110,000 - $120,000
