Job summary

The Consumer Technology Association (CTA) in Arlington, VA, is seeking a Director of Executive Communications. Hybrid work model with a focus on high-stakes executive messaging and strategic thought leadership for CTA’s top leaders.

You will oversee speaking and editorial programs, executive social media, media and podcast interviews, and awards initiatives, reporting to the VP of Marketing & Communications and managing one direct report.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in communications, English/writing, political science, or related field strongly preferred; or commensurate experience.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in communications or public relations with a focus on executive-level support, plus event and project management.
• Experience requiring high operational rigor (Capitol Hill, trade association, event or public affairs firm, or corporate sector).
• Demonstrated project management expertise.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive thought leadership strategy for CTA’s top leaders.
• Manage executive-level projects including CTA’s speaking and editorial program, executive social media, media and podcast interviews, organizational recognition and awards, and book authorship.
• Collaborate with VP, Marketing & Communications and other stakeholders to align communications with organizational goals.
• Lead cross-functional efforts and coordinate with internal and external partners to deliver high-impact programs.

You will manage executive-level projects including CTA’s speaking and editorial program, executive social media, media and podcast interviews, organizational recognition and awards, and book authorship. This role reports to the VP of Marketing & Communications and manages one direct report.

Salary Range: $125,000 – $150,000, plus bonus potential
