Job summary

AstraZeneca is seeking a Senior Manager, Medical Data Strategy & Management to drive data capabilities across Global Medical Affairs. You will shape data strategy, governance, and product delivery for AI-enabled medical insights, collaborating with IT, the Data Office, and Medical Affairs to enable trusted, AI-ready data for scientific engagement.

The role emphasizes governance, data quality, privacy, and ongoing innovation in real-world evidence and GenAI readiness within a matrixed environment.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of progressive experience in data strategy, data management, data governance, or data product roles in life sciences.
• Experience leveraging data for AI/GenAI use cases.
• Experience contributing to enterprise orfunctional data strategies and managing data flow/services/products.
• Familiarity with data governance, MDM, data quality, and metadata management.

Responsibilities

• Data Strategy: develop and execute data strategy for Global Medical Affairs with AI readiness.
• Data Governance: implement governance for programs including data ownership, quality, metadata, and privacy.
• Data Management: manage data flow for assigned programs.
• Data Product Delivery: support end-to-end lifecycle of data products for AI/GenAI use cases.
• Cross-Functional Partnership: collaborate with IT, data office, and Medical Affairs.
• Alexion Data Office Representation: represent GMA in the Data Office.
• Innovation & Continuous Improvement: stay current with real-world data trends and evolving regulations.
