University of Maryland Medical System Corporation is seeking an experienced Manager for Centralized Business Office to lead and optimize hospital accounts receivable workflows, develop collection strategies, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and payer regulations.

Responsibilities include supervising a billing team, analyzing denial data, and coordinating with other departments to reduce uncompensated care and improve cash flow within a large regional health system.

• Review and analyze A/R reports against defined targets.
• Establish protocols and standards for account resolution.
• Oversee Department Manager performance and development.
• Review trends and resolve administrative gaps affecting reimbursements.
• Represent to third party payers for high-dollar accounts (> $50k).
• Evaluate daily/monthly/year-to-date performance of collection staff.
• Reconcile cash deposits and postings; coordinate with Cash Posting.
• Participate in department and organization-wide meetings with other departments.
• Resolve customer service issues promptly with patients.
