Job summary

MedStar Health seeks a dedicated Reimbursement Representative to manage patient account follow-up and ensure accurate accounts receivable reporting. You will interact with payers to secure timely payments and assist in developing collection strategies within a hybrid work model.

Responsibilities include maintaining payer contacts, preparing A/R analyses, and meeting KPIs. Proactive communication with management and participation in team initiatives are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Verbal and written communication skills required.
• Familiarity with CPT/ICD-10 coding and EOBs beneficial.
• Proficient with Word/Excel and basic computer applications.

Responsibilities

• Follow up on patient accounts to improve A/R metrics and timeliness.
• Communicate billing and reimbursement issues to management and payers.
• Assist in monthly A/R analysis and KPI reporting for Transport services.
• Submit claims accurately and timely; prepare and submit appeals per payer requirements.
• Support team via workload distribution and process improvements.
