Job summary

Supernal is seeking a Sr. Manager, Mechanical and Flight Systems Engineering to guide development and certification of dynamic systems, airframe, avionics, and interiors.

You will drive requirements, analysis, testing, and supplier coordination to meet safety, quality, cost, and schedule targets. The role requires extensive experience with aviation programs, leadership of multi-disciplinary teams, and effective communication with leadership, suppliers, and customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mechanical, aerospace, or aeronautical engineering.
• 10+ years in fixed- or rotary-wing aircraft concept development, design, testing and production.
• Experience with FAA Part 23/25/27/29 programs is preferred.
• Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams and programs.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Guide development, implementation, and certification of dynamic systems (rotor, gearbox), airframe, flight systems, and interiors components for prototype/proof-of-concept and production programs.
• Ensure the structural integrity of rotors and airframe through analysis and testing.
• Coordinate requirements development, validation, and supplier coordination for flight systems including avionics, actuation, inceptors, and landing gear.
• Develop program M&FS requirements and supervise validation and verification.
• Develop and manage schedule, budget, and risk across multiple programs in parallel.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and suppliers to execute M&FS work statements through all phases.
