Job summary

Supernal seeks a Sr. Manager, Mechanical and Flight Systems Engineering (MFS) to guide the development, integration, and certification of dynamic systems, airframe, and flight systems across prototypes and production programs.

You will ensure structural integrity, manage requirements, and coordinate with internal teams and external suppliers to meet safety, cost, and schedule goals. The role reports to the CTO and requires extensive experience in FAA certificated programs, with a focus on rotor,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical, Aerospace, Aeronautical or equivalent disciplines is required.
• Ten (10) years minimum experience working with fixed- or rotary-wing aircraft concept development, product design and analysis, test, certification, production, and in-service support (FAA Part 23/25/27/29 programs preferred).
• Seven (7) years minimum experience with composite design, analysis and production.

Responsibilities

• Guide development, implementation, and certification of dynamic systems (rotor, gearbox), airframe, flight systems, and interiors components for all prototypes and production programs.
• Ensure the structural integrity of rotors and airframe through analysis and test.
• Coordinate flight systems requirements development, supplier selection, and integration across stakeholders and suppliers.
