BD is seeking a Senior Manager, Mechanical Engineering to lead the North American mechanical engineering team within Pharmacy Automation Hardware Engineering. The role focuses on building a high-performing group delivering NPD, sustaining engineering, reliability, and compliance across programs.

The successful leader will drive engineering excellence, talent development, and cross-functional collaboration with delivery leaders to enable program success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 7 years of mechanical engineering experience.
• 4 years in functional leadership.
• Experience working with global teams and external development partners.
• Experience developing and launching a new product.
• Experience in DFSS methodology.

Responsibilities

• Provide functional leadership and engineering excellence across the team.
• Establish and continuously improve mechanical engineering tools, processes, methodologies, and best practices.
• Drive engineering rigor through architecture and design reviews, risk assessments, and problem solving.
• Ensure compliance with quality management system requirements and documentation standards.
• Collaborate with Quality, Regulatory, Manufacturing, Service, Systems Engineering, and Program Management teams.
