We’re looking for a strategic, well-rounded marketer to lead marketing efforts for Southern Hobby and Sales First business units. This role includes owning how these businesses show up to retailers, brands, and the broader industry. This role will also collaborate across functions to ensure consistency, share insights, and support cross-brand campaigns. You’ll rethink how we use our data, tools, and content to provide real value to stores beyond just fulfillment, while helping evolve the Southern Hobby and Sales First brands and contributing to Collectivus’ wider growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Brand & Communications Ownership – Own the Southern Hobby and Sales First brands in-market from positioning to voice to design, modernizing and upscaling how customers, partners, and the industry view us.
  • Continuously improve and implement the brand guidelines and toolkits that reflect and elevate who we are as a brand.
  • Develop and execute marketing campaigns in partnership with cross-functional teams to support priority programs, product initiatives, or offerings within the business units.
  • Manage our Southern Hobby and Sales First social channels (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn) and broader digital storytelling strategy.
  • Work with internal teams/stakeholders to increase visibility and awareness across the industry.
  • Sales & Vendor Enablement – Partner with the sales team to develop materials and campaigns that help win and retain customers: line cards, trend data, seasonal programs, promotions, etc.
  • Create a sales contact and email blueprint that guides tone, selling points, content, and follow-up from onboarding to ongoing engagement.
  • Support buying and business development teams with pitch materials to secure new brands, exclusives, and vendor partnerships.
  • Ensure everyone in the organization can clearly articulate what makes Southern Hobby and Sales First different.
  • Website & Email Marketing – Own the Southern Hobby website’s merchandising, marketing, email, and content.
  • Drive the Sales First email and content strategy in partnership with product, sales, and communications.
  • Partner with digital product and IT teams to guide the product roadmap and identify appropriate martech partners.
  • Build and optimize our email marketing program (solicitations, etc.) with a focus on driving engagement and sales.
  • Events & Industry Activations – Act as the marketing lead for our Southern Hobby/SalesFirst event strategy, partnering closely with Events and leadership.
  • Help plan and execute our presence at trade shows, retailer summits, sales meetings, and co-branded events.
  • Collaborate with other Collectivus brands and external partners to develop activations and campaigns.
  • Customer Value Through Data & Content – Lead efforts to merchandise our consultative services for vendors and stores through data and insights (category trends, geographic benchmarks, title velocities, brand or product opportunities).
  • Develop tools and content that help our reps deliver value beyond the product, including:
    • Benchmarking reports on store operations (e.g., rent, payroll, margin expectations)
  • Merchandising guides and visual inspiration
  • Financing overviews and business planning templates
  • White papers and case studies based on store size, location, or focus
Qualifications
  • Required – 7-10 years in marketing or trade marketing roles, ideally in distribution, consumer goods, or hobby/gaming
  • Background in the TCG/hobby space is preferred (personal or professional)
  • Strong writer and communicator who can make complex topics clear and relevant
  • Experience developing sales tools, pitch decks, and marketing campaigns that drive adoption and conversion
  • Confidence working with data and distilling insights into materials for sales or stores
  • Strong instincts around what stores and vendor partners actually need, and what they don’t
  • Strongly Preferred – Experience managing digital marketing channels and email campaigns
  • Previous work in B2B distribution or channel partner marketing
