Job description

Senior Manager, Market Strategy

What You’ll Do

Leveraging your knowledge of the oncology marketplace to track emerging news and trends, you will provide our clients with actionable insights and implications to advance their portfolios. This includes developing strategies for tumor and portfolio prioritization in highly competitive and dynamic markets. In partnership with your Strategic Services colleagues, you will also develop and execute initiatives that enhance market knowledge and support business development across Vaniam Group.

A Day in the Life

Deliverables

  • Monitor changes in the market landscape (e.g., relevant news alerts, clinical trial updates) and proactively communicate implications to stakeholders.
  • Conduct landscape assessments and synthesize information about competitive therapeutic spaces focusing on market factors.

Client Responsibility

  • Propose innovative solutions and translate insights into strategic recommendations for asset development and pipeline strategies.
  • Maintain strong communication with external thought leaders, clients, and internal teams.

Business Development

  • Support internal needs and activities using your market knowledge and therapeutic expertise.

Other duties may be assigned to support client objectives.

What You Must Have

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • At least two years of oncology-related experience in pharmaceutical strategic planning or healthcare consulting.
  • Good knowledge of pharmaceutical and biotech industries.
  • Proficiency in MS PowerPoint and ability to analyze and synthesize clinical and financial data into presentations.
  • Understanding of digital marketing.

Skills and Competencies

  • Ability to extract relevant data from primary and secondary sources.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to develop solutions.
  • Quick learner in new therapeutic areas.
  • Self-aware, collaborative, and service-oriented mindset.
  • Effective communication and respectful challenge of ideas.
  • Team player with the ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure.

What You Might Have

  • Experience in asset planning, tumor prioritization.
  • Medical writing or communications agency experience.
  • Advanced degrees (Master’s, MBA, PhD, PharmD, MD, MSN).
  • Experience in Competitive Intelligence, Market Research, Market Access, HEOR.

Travel Requirements

Ability to travel within the US and internationally as needed, with less than 25% travel expected.
