Job summary

Beacon Hill is seeking an experienced Senior Manager to lead financial due diligence engagements for private equity and strategic buyers in the M&A Advisory practice. This role manages client relationships, mentors junior team members, and drives deal progress from diligence through close.

The ideal candidate will have a Big 4 or large national public accounting background transitioning into TAS/FDD/M&A consulting, with 7+ years of experience and CPA preferred; CFA is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA strongly preferred; CFA is a plus.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in public accounting, TAS, FDD, or M&A consulting.
  • Demonstrated experience leading M&A transactions from diligence through close.
  • Strong knowledge of QofE, working capital, purchase price adjustments, EBITDA normalization, revenue recognition, and US GAAP.
  • Exceptional client-facing and project management skills.
  • Advanced Excel and financial analysis capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence engagements for private equity and corporate clients.
  • Analyze historical financial statements, earnings quality, working capital trends, cash flow, and debt considerations.
  • Identify transaction risks, key business drivers, and potential deal issues.
  • Prepare and review quality of earnings (QofE) reports, due diligence findings, and client presentations.
  • Manage multiple engagements simultaneously while meeting deadlines and quality standards.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, investment bankers, attorneys, and other transaction stakeholders.
  • Assist clients with deal structuring considerations, purchase price adjustments, and transaction analyses.
  • Evaluate accounting policies and financial reporting matters under U.S. GAAP.
  • Mentor and develop Managers, Senior Associates, and Associates.
  • Support business development through networking, proposals, and relationship management.
  • Participate in recruiting, training, and practice growth initiatives.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Manager to join our growing M&A Advisory practice. This individual will lead financial due diligence engagements for private equity firms, strategic buyers, and middle-market companies while managing client relationships and mentoring junior team members.

The ideal candidate began their career in public accounting at either a Big 4 or large national CPA firm that transitioned into Transaction Advisory Services (TAS), Financial Due Diligence (FDD), Deal Advisory, or M&A Consulting. This role offers significant exposure to acquisitions, divestitures, recapitalizations, and strategic transactions across a variety of industries.

Responsibilities

  • Prior Big 4 or large national public accounting experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience leading M&A transactions from diligence through close.
