Beacon Hill is a fast-growing, venture-backed technology startup in San Francisco seeking an Accounting Manager to drive the accounting function and support its next growth phase. Reporting to the Controller, you will own the close, ensure audit readiness, and partner with cross-functional teams on billing, revenue, and system improvements.

This hands-on role requires 5-8+ years of accounting experience, a Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance, and strong Excel/ERP skills.

Qualifications

• 5-8+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA or public accounting background a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own key components of the month-end close process, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and financial reporting support.
• Manage accounts receivable, accounts payable, billing, invoicing, and collections activities.
• Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to support billing, revenue, and operational initiatives.
• Improve accounting workflows and identify opportunities for automation and efficiencies.
• Support audit preparation and maintain well-documented accounting records.
• Assist with financial systems enhancements and process improvements.
• Participate in special projects as the finance organization continues to grow.

A fast-growing, venture-backed technology startup is seeking an Accounting Manager to help build and scale its accounting function. Reporting directly to the Controller, this role will play a critical part in supporting the company's next phase of growth by driving accounting operations, improving processes, and helping establish a scalable, audit-ready finance organization.

This is an ideal opportunity for a hands-on accounting professional who enjoys wearing multiple hats, building processes from the ground up, and making a significant impact in a high-growth environment.

What You'll Do

• Own key components of the month-end close process, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and financial reporting support
• Manage accounts receivable, accounts payable, billing, invoicing, and collections activities

What We're Looking For

• 5-8+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Experience within a SaaS, software, or technology company preferred
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and revenue recognition principles
• Proven experience owning or supporting the month-end close process
• Experience with AR, AP, billing, invoicing, and collections
• Strong Excel and financial systems skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment
• CPA or public accounting background is a plus
