Job summary

Cobb EMC is seeking a Manager, Line Construction and Forestry to oversee safe installation and maintenance of distribution power lines, ensure ROW clearance, and coordinate field and office communication.

The role requires extensive experience in electric utility line work, leadership of crews, and strong project management. The position is based in Georgia and offers excellent benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Ten years in electric utility line work, including five years leading electric utility line crews.
• Minimum six months as a Line Superintendent.
• Specialized training in live-line work and distribution line construction.
• Knowledge of GUFPA regulations and NPDES controls.

Responsibilities

• Manage installation and maintenance of distribution lines to schedule and budget.
• Direct trimming and clearing of right-of-way for reliability.
• Oversee transformer, breaker, and regulator installations.
• Ensure safety protocols and regulatory compliance across crews.
• Coordinate with engineering and field staff on plan execution.
• Prepare reports and manage department budget and bids.
