About the Role:

The Senior Manager, Licensing plays a pivotal role in driving growth and revenue through strategic global licensing partnerships and rights management. This role leads a team focused on expanding Wiley's licensing portfolio, with particular emphasis on digital licensing solutions for third-party platforms and our rapidly growing Clinical Outcome Assessment licensing business.

This high-impact commercial leadership role requires a blend of strong business acumen, copyright expertise, and an innovative approach to licensing strategy. You will be responsible for developing sustainable, high-growth revenue streams by licensing content into customer digital products such as aggregator platforms, decision-support tools, and enterprise software, serving a broad range of industry verticals.

The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker who can balance aggressive commercial growth targets with sound licensing and copyright practices, all while cultivating long-term customer relationships and developing bespoke licensing solutions tailored to complex client needs.

How you will make an impact:

  • Lead and mentor a team of licensing professionals, setting KPIs, building commercial capability, and delivering results.
  • Define and implement licensing strategy across multiple content types, regions, and customer segments.
  • Drive the expansion of Wiley's Clinical Outcome Assessment licensing business.
  • Identify and grow digital licensing opportunities within third-party platforms and enterprise content solutions
  • Lead complex negotiations, pricing strategies, and bespoke deal structuring to maximise revenue.
  • Ensure compliance with copyright principles and best practices while delivering commercial goals.
  • Develop strategic relationships with key clients, identifying cross-selling opportunities and long-term growth potential.
  • Represent Wiley's licensing business externally at events and conferences, elevating our position as a market leader.
  • Deliver commercial reporting, forecasts, and insights to senior leadership to inform decision-making.

We are looking for people who have/are:
