Job summary

NewLimit seeks a Senior Manager, Lab Operations to lead a growing team in a fast-paced life science environment. You will partner with scientists and engineers to design, build, and scale infrastructure and processes that accelerate discovery.

You will own procurement strategy, manage lab budgets, maintain infrastructure, and cultivate vendor relationships across biomedical research, negotiating contracts and prices to drive efficiency and value.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in a life science laboratory setting.
• Proven leadership of lab operations staff and collaboration with scientists and engineers.
• Ability to design, build and scale infrastructure and processes for accelerated discovery.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor lab operations staff while you work with our team of scientists and engineers to build and operate a world-class functional genomics lab, taking on different challenges every week.
• Own the strategy for procurement, maintain lab infrastructure, manage inventory, and increase the efficiency of NewLimit's research operations
• Develop and manage the lab operations budget, and cultivate relationships with vendors across the biomedical research industry, negotiating contracts and pricing as needed
• Identify operational bottlenecks across the organization and drive cross-functional solutions to fix them

NewLimit is seeking an Senior Manager, Lab Operations with extensive experience in a life science laboratory setting to join our Operations team. Our Operations team is focused on increasing the speed and efficiency of our scientific research programs so we can deliver more value to patients, more quickly. As Senior Manager, Lab Operations, you'll lead a team and work closely with scientists and engineers to design, build, and scale infrastructure and processes that accelerate our pace of discovery.

What you'll do
