Job summary

Okta is seeking a Senior Manager, Solution Engineering, to lead a high-performing team and partner with executives to drive technical wins. You will hire, coach, and scale SEs, work with Account Executives to uncover customer pain points, and align with senior customer leaders on Okta’s platform value.

You will also collaborate with partner leaders and cross-functional teams to design GTM strategies and continuously improve the organization, while representing Okta at industry events.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of leading and scaling Solution/Sales Engineering teams.
• Experience attracting, recruiting, and onboarding top technical sales talent in high-growth environments.
• Blend of technical depth and business acumen with value-selling to exceed targets.
• Ability to build trust-based relationships with customer and partner technical stakeholders.
• Capable of leading architectural discussions across a complex product portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Hire, coach, and inspire a high-performing team of Solution Engineers, driving career development, performance management, and continuous skill enablement.
• Support and coach SEs as they partner with Account Executives to discover customer pain points, develop opportunities, and secure the technical win.
• Partner with senior customer technical leaders to articulate Okta's platform value and secure technical buying decisions.
• Build relationships with partner technical sales leaders to establish Okta as the preferred identity security standard.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, customer success, and other SE managers to share best practices and scale the organization.
• Present on IAM and cybersecurity topics at Okta events and industry conferences.
