Every day, we rise to the challenge to make a difference and here’s how the Senior Manager, Global Strategic Orchestration – Commercial IT will make an impact.

Role Overview

The Senior Manager, Global Strategic Orchestration – Commercial IT is a strategic leadership role responsible for shaping and advancing how Commercial Technology strategy is governed, aligned, and executed while bridging procedural, organizational, and technical gaps across Viatris’ most critical commercial transformation initiatives. As a trusted partner to Commercial IT Leadership and the Commercial Leadership Team, this role translates technology strategy into disciplined execution through integrated portfolio governance, cross‑functional orchestration, and measurable business outcomes. This leader is accountable for orchestrating overlapping, multi‑year strategic technology initiatives as a cohesive enterprise roadmap rather than owning an individual platform or program. Working across CRM, CMS, Omnichannel, Content Lifecycle, Analytics, AI‑enabled capabilities, and emerging commercial technologies, the role aligns priorities, roadmaps, dependencies, and ways of working; influences future‑state architecture; and establishes value realization practices that enable Commercial Technology to operate as a unified ecosystem. This position serves as the connective tissue between strategy and execution, ensuring every strategic investment contributes to a cohesive long‑term vision for Commercial Technology.

Key Responsibilities for this role include:
Executive Partnership & Commercial Strategy

Serve as a strategic partner to Commercial IT Leadership for enterprise Commercial Technology initiatives. Partner with the Commercial Leadership Team to translate business priorities into integrated technology roadmaps. Advise executive leadership on portfolio health, strategic investment decisions, delivery risks, and transformation opportunities. Champion a long‑term Commercial Technology vision that balances innovation, scalability, governance, and business value.

Commercial Technology Strategic Portfolio Leadership

Provides strategic orchestration across the integrated Commercial Technology strategic portfolio spanning CRM, CMS, Marketing Technology, Omnichannel, Content, AI, and future strategic capabilities. Align priorities, funding, timelines, and cross‑functional roadmaps to maximize enterprise value. Identify and proactively manage enterprise dependencies, resource constraints, risks, and opportunities. Provide leadership‑level status and financial reporting that supports informed decision‑making and strategic prioritization.

Integrated Program Leadership & Execution

Coordinate execution across capability leads, architects, delivery teams, business stakeholders, and system integration partners. Facilitate enterprise decision‑making and remove organizational barriers impacting multiple initiatives. Ensure strategic programs remain aligned to business objectives throughout planning, implementation, and adoption. Promote consistent execution methodologies that improve delivery quality across the portfolio, standardizing steering committees, executive reporting, RAID management, RACI models and escalation processes regardless of the technology platform.

Value Realization & Business Outcomes

Establish a Commercial Technology value realization framework for ongoing evaluation of the strategic portfolio. Partner with Commercial Leadership to define expected business outcomes before investments are approved. Develop KPI frameworks measuring adoption, productivity, customer experience, operational efficiency, financial value, and organizational maturity. Track benefits realization before, during, and after implementation through executive dashboards and performance reviews. Recommend optimization opportunities and future investment priorities based on measurable business outcomes.

The minimum qualifications for this role are:
Required Experience

10+ years of experience in Commercial IT, enterprise technology, strategic portfolio management, digital transformation, or comparable leadership roles. Experience working within or in close partnership with Commercial business functions strongly preferred, with demonstrated knowledge of pharmaceutical sales and marketing, omnichannel customer engagement, content and campaign operations, field enablement, analytics, and related commercial capabilities. Demonstrated success leading enterprise‑scale transformation initiatives involving multiple business and technology organizations. Experience influencing executive stakeholders and leading strategic governance without direct ownership of delivery teams or platforms. Proven ability to manage complex portfolios with significant cross‑program dependencies.

Technical & Functional Expertise

Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical commercial landscape, including Sales, Marketing, Omnichannel, customer engagement, content operations, analytics, and the technology ecosystems that enable these capabilities. Knowledge of architecture, technology operating models, governance frameworks, portfolio management, and business case development. Experience defining KPIs, value realization frameworks, executive reporting, and preparing strategic planning deliverables.

Leadership & Interpersonal Skills

Exceptional executive communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management. Strategic thinker capable of translating enterprise vision into coordinated execution. Highly collaborative with the ability to influence across global, matrixed organizations. Results‑oriented leader with strong ownership and accountability.

United States remote, Eastern Standard Time (EST) preferred, with flexibility to support global stakeholders across multiple time zones.

Compensation

Exact compensation may vary based on items such as skills, experience and location. The salary range for this position is: $95,000 - $193,000.
