Job summary

MTA Headquarters in Jamaica, NY is seeking a Senior Manager General & Technical Accounting – LIRR to oversee corporate monthly and quarterly financial reporting, accounting close, and cost allocations. The role requires strong leadership, GAAP knowledge, and collaboration with OMB and IT teams.

Telework available one day per week. Qualified candidates will have a BA/BS in Accounting and Finance, 6+ years in accounting or audit, and at least 3 years in a managerial role.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing monthly and quarterly financial reports and statements.
• Quality assure monthly account analysis across financial operations.
• Coordinate cost allocation methodology with OMB for allocating MTA costs.
• Oversee and develop overhead rate calculations and forecasts for commuter railroads.
