Job summary

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) seeks a Senior Manager Fixed Assets & Inventory Accounting to lead the accounting for capital assets and inventory, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance. This role will coach staff, review capitalization, and support audits for multiple MTA agencies.

Based in New York, the position offers hybrid telework (one day per week) and a competitive salary range with growth opportunities within the General and Technical Accounting department.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of Accounting and/or Fixed Assets/Inventory experience.
• Demonstrated supervisory and leadership abilities.
• Experience with audits and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee fixed assets and inventory accounting for MTA Agencies.
• Coach and supervise staff within the department.
• Review project status and capitalization for Fixed Assets.
• Prepare annual templates and reports for fixed assets and inventory.
• Assist with internal and external audits and disclosures.
• Ensure accurate accounting entries and financial reporting.
