Job summary

Progress Residential is seeking a Senior Manager FP&A to support Portfolio Management across a group of investment funds representing roughly 40,000 single-family rental homes. This role serves as a key finance partner for budgeting, forecasting, reporting and performance analysis of fund operations and investments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics or related field.
• 4–7 years in FP&A, finance, real estate finance or related areas.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, reporting and variance analysis experience.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; solid financial modeling skills.
• Proven ability to build partnerships across teams and present to executives.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual budgets and periodic forecasts for fund performance.
• Oversee ongoing financial reporting for fund performance and KPIs.
• Analyze drivers of fund results, risks, opportunities and trends.
• Prepare concise materials for senior/executive leadership.
• Collaborate with Capital Markets on long-range projections and strategy.
• Enhance models, processes, and tools to improve decision-making.

This role will serve as a key finance partner to the business, providing leadership on budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and performance analysis for fund operations and investment results. The ideal candidate combines strong financial acumen, modeling expertise, and executive presence, with the ability to work cross-functionally and translate complex financial and operational data into clear insights for senior leadership. This role will also partner closely with the Capital Markets team to support long-range, home-level financial projections and other strategic analyses.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSPartner with Portfolio Management teams to support the financial oversight of a group of investment funds totaling approximately 40,000 single-family rental homes.Lead the development of annual budgets, periodic forecasts, and ongoing financial reporting for fund performance.Analyze and communicate key drivers of fund results, including financial and operational trends, risks, and opportunities.Perform ad hoc analyses, scenario modeling, and deep dives into portfolio performance and operational KPIs.Develop clear, concise presentations and reporting materials for senior and executive leadership.Support the Capital Markets team with long-range financial projections at the home and portfolio level.Collaborate cross-functionally with teams across Portfolio Management, Operations, Capital Markets, Asset Management, and executive leadership.Enhance financial models, reporting processes, and analytical tools to improve decision-making and efficiency.Translate large, complex datasets into actionable business recommendations and performance insights.QUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or Economics4-7 years of relevant experience in finance, FP&A, investment finance, corporate finance, real estate finance, or related fields.Strong experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and variance analysis.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, with the ability to build and maintain detailed projections.Proven ability to work cross-functionally and build effective partnerships across teams.Experience supporting and presenting to executive leaders.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to distill complex analyses into clear business insights.Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and business judgment.Experience in real estate, private equity, asset management, or investment fund finance.Familiarity with operational and financial KPIs in a portfolio-driven business.Experience supporting long-range planning, strategic analysis, and capital markets-related initiatives.What you can expect from us:Competitive Compensation - Including performance-based bonuses that reward your contributions.Comprehensive Benefits Package - Medical, dental, vision, parental leave, 401(k) with company match and more.Generous Time Off – Enjoy PTO based on tenure, 13 paid holidays and 1 floating holiday.Ongoing Learning and Development - Quarterly summits, town hall meetings and continuous training to support your professional growth.A Culture that Celebrates You - We believe in collaboration, recognition and having fun while doing important work.This summary is not an all-inclusive description of job duties.
