Job summary

Buckingham Search is seeking a Senior Manager to lead external financial reporting, technical accounting, and policy initiatives. You will work with senior finance leaders, investor relations, and business leaders across a global organization to drive high-quality financial reporting.

The role offers significant exposure to executive leadership, ownership of complex accounting matters, and opportunities to strengthen processes and develop future finance leaders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Accounting required.
• Active CPA license required.
• 11+ years of progressive accounting and financial reporting experience.
• Recent experience with a Big Four public accounting firm is required.
• Demonstrated experience in mentoring and developing team members.
• Extensive knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee quarterly and annual SEC filings and external disclosures.
• Monitor accounting standards changes and lead implementation.
• Prepare technical accounting updates and presentations for leadership.
• Advise finance teams on complex accounting issues and policies.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies and reporting guidelines.
• Collaborate with auditors on technical accounting and internal controls.
• Oversee impairment, lease accounting, and cash flow reporting.
• Coordinate with investor relations on external communications.
• Lead close-process improvements and reporting accuracy initiatives.
• Mentor and develop accounting professionals and successors.
