Buckingham Search is seeking a Manager of Financial Reporting to join the Corporate Controllership organization in Downers Grove, IL. The role leads the SEC filing process, advises on complex accounting matters, and drives reporting transformation with a two-person team.

The ideal candidate has a CPA and 6+ years of progressive financial reporting experience in both public accounting and public company environments, with strong technical accounting and leadership capabilities.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Active CPA required.
• 6+ years of progressive financial reporting and accounting experience.
• Experience in both public accounting and public company environments preferred.
• Strong technical accounting and SEC reporting knowledge including complex areas.
• Demonstrated leadership experience and ability to develop a team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong project management with multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
• Workiva and/or OneStream experience preferred.
• Strong Excel skills and adaptability to new systems.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the preparation, review, and filing of Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K on deadlines.
• Manage preparation, review, filing, and audit of Form 11-K and Pension Plan statements.
• Monitor SEC disclosure requirements and benchmark reporting quality.
• Partner with Investor Relations on quarterly earnings materials.
• Serve as SME on complex accounting topics like EPS and hedge accounting.
• Research accounting guidance and prepare memos and policy docs.
• Oversee adoption of new accounting standards and training.
• Maintain and update the accounting policy manual.
• Manage offshore Lease Center of Excellence guidance.
• Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits.
• Drive process improvements and financial reporting transformation.
• Review XBRL exhibits and support ad hoc projects.
• Lead and develop a team of two direct reports.
