Job summary

MassHousing in Boston seeks a Manager of Financial Reporting to oversee external financial reporting, audits, and regulatory filings. You will coordinate audits, guide accounting policy development, and ensure accurate internal reporting in a hybrid work environment.

The role leads a team, partners across departments, and requires 7+ years in finance, GASB experience, and strong Excel skills; CPA/ CFA preferred. Excellent communication and detail orientation are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or commensurate work experience.
• 7+ years of experience in a large financial institution, nationally recognized credit review organization, or CPA firm.
• Experience with GASB accounting standards and related disclosures.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation and timely submission of the Agency’s annual reports and audit submissions.
• Coordinate audits and manage regulatory reporting and tax filings for designated groups.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies and quarterly disclosure templates.
• Review cash flow projections, budgets, and internal reporting.
• Lead staff development, performance management, and interdepartmental collaboration.
