Jobbeschreibung

Norel is seeking a hands-on, analytical Senior Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) & Accounting to help strengthen our accounting function while expanding financial planning, analysis, and operational reporting capabilities.

This is an opportunity for a finance professional who enjoys looking beyond the numbers to understand what drives business performance. You'll partner directly with the CFO and operational leaders to improve forecasting, develop meaningful KPIs, analyze profitability, strengthen financial controls, and support better business decisions.

This position is on site in Littleton, MA. Looking for candidates that are in market and able to be on site with the Finance Team. This role does not offer relocation.

We're especially interested in candidates with experience in a service-based business, where revenue, labor, pricing, work orders, service volume, inventory, and operational efficiency all influence financial performance. Experience in a private equity-backed or high-growth organization is a significant plus.

Fire protection, life safety, electronic security, field services, construction services, facilities services, or other work-order-driven industries are particularly relevant.

What You'll Do
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and variance analysis.
  • Analyze actual results against budget, forecast, prior periods, and operational expectations.
  • Evaluate revenue, pricing, service volume, labor costs, margins, and profitability.
  • Perform price, volume, mix, and margin analysis to explain changes in financial performance.
  • Develop financial models and scenario analysis to support pricing, staffing, investment, and resource-allocation decisions.
  • Translate financial data into actionable recommendations for the CFO and leadership team.
  • Lead and develop the accounting function across Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Inventory.
  • Oversee month-end and year-end closing, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
  • Maintain accurate, reliable financial records and strengthen accounting processes.
  • Support compliance with U.S. GAAP and prepare the organization for its first U.S. GAAP audit.
  • Identify accounting issues, investigate root causes, and implement practical solutions.
  • Extract, organize, reconcile, and analyze large datasets from multiple financial and operational systems.
  • Connect accounting results with operational activity, including service volume, work orders, labor, inventory, and customer activity.
  • Develop KPIs, dashboards, scorecards, and recurring management reports.
  • Identify trends, inefficiencies, risks, and opportunities to improve profitability.
  • Use advanced Excel and financial models to turn complex information into clear business insights.
Systems, Controls & Process Improvement
  • Help lead the transition to a new ERP system, including data migration, testing, implementation, and adoption.
  • Improve reporting processes, data quality, workflows, and system integration.
  • Document processes, establish clear controls, and reduce manual work through standardization and automation.
  • Strengthen financial and operational controls in partnership with field and business leaders.
Leadership & Business Partnership
  • Manage and develop a team of five across Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Inventory.
  • Partner closely with the CFO, service operations, field leadership, sales, and other departments.
  • Help operational leaders understand the financial impact of their decisions.
  • Establish accountability around financial and operational KPIs.
  • Lead change, challenge assumptions, and continuously improve how the business measures and manages performance.
What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Analytics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong accounting foundation combined with demonstrated FP&A experience.
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and variance analysis.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience working with large datasets.
  • Experience developing KPIs, dashboards, management reporting, and financial models.
  • Ability to analyze pricing, volume, mix, costs, and margins to explain business performance.
  • Experience with ERP systems and improving financial or operational processes.
  • Knowledge of accounting controls, audit readiness, and U.S. GAAP.
  • Leadership experience, with the ability to develop teams and influence cross-functional partners.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to turn financial analysis into practical business recommendations.
  • Ability to work onsite in Littleton, Massachusetts.
Preferred Experience
  • Service-industry experience is highly preferred, particularly in field service, business services, construction services, facilities, or other operationally complex environments.
  • Experience in fire protection, fire alarm, life safety, electronic security, or related industries is a major plus.
  • Experience in a private equity-backed, high-growth, or business transformation environment.
  • Participation in an ERP implementation or migration.
  • Experience integrating financial data with service management, work-order, project, inventory, or other operational systems.
  • Experience supporting growth, process improvement, or organizational change.
Why This Role?

This is more than a traditional accounting position. You'll have the opportunity to combine accounting expertise with FP&A, analytics, systems improvement, and operational partnership.

Working directly with the CFO, you'll help build stronger financial visibility, improve decision-making, and establish scalable processes that support the company's continued growth.

If you're an analytical finance leader who understands how service businesses operate and wants to make a meaningful impact beyond the monthly close, we'd like to hear from you.
