Job description

Our partner, a growing and evolving organization is seeking an analytical and hands-on FP&A Lead to partner closely with executive leadership and drive financial reporting, business analytics, forecasting, and process improvement initiatives across the organization.

This role offers a unique opportunity to work directly with senior leadership and play a critical role in transforming financial reporting and decision-making processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting and finance, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to turn financial data into actionable business insights.

Position Summary

The FP&A Lead will serve as a key financial business partner, supporting leadership through financial analysis, forecasting, reporting, budgeting, and process improvement initiatives. This individual will be responsible for developing meaningful reporting, improving financial visibility, streamlining month-end processes, and helping leadership make informed business decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
  • Develop financial models, forecasts, budgets, and business performance reporting.
  • Partner with leadership to provide financial insights and recommendations that support strategic decision-making.
  • Analyze operational and financial data to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and process improvements.
  • Support month-end close activities and help improve financial reporting timelines.
  • Develop and maintain KPI dashboards and business performance metrics.
  • Evaluate business performance against budgets and forecasts and provide variance analysis.
  • Assist with cash flow forecasting and financial planning initiatives.
  • Collaborate with accounting and operational teams to improve reporting accuracy and efficiency.
  • Support ERP, reporting, and system improvement initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to automate reporting and streamline financial processes.
  • Serve as a trusted business partner to executive leadership.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, financial analysis, accounting, corporate finance, or related disciplines.
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, accounting principles, and financial reporting.
  • Advanced Excel skills with the ability to analyze and manipulate large data sets.
  • Experience developing financial models, forecasts, and reporting packages.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to communicate financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
  • Self-starter with a process improvement mindset.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with business intelligence, reporting, or financial reporting tools.
  • Exposure to ERP systems and financial system integrations.
  • Familiarity with Jet Reports, SQL-based reporting tools, or similar reporting platforms is a plus.
  • Experience in equipment rental, industrial services, manufacturing, construction, distribution, or related industries is beneficial but not required.
  • CPA, CMA, MBA, or advanced financial certifications are a plus.
