Qualifications

• Degree in accounting, finance or related discipline required.
• Active CPA strongly preferred.
• Extensive experience in accounting, financial reporting or advisory.

Responsibilities

• Own the global consolidation cycle across entities and jurisdictions, including intercompany accounting, eliminations and currency translation.
• Lead periodic financial reporting and regulatory filings, including disclosures and earnings materials.
• Carry out technical accounting analyses under US GAAP and IFRS with audit-ready documentation.
• Build and document a robust internal control environment with auditors to close gaps.
• Support accounting for significant transactions including valuations and acquisition accounting.
• Work with external auditors and advisors on technical matters and present key judgments to leadership.
• Develop scalable accounting policies and track changes in standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with finance, legal, tax, treasury and business partners to streamline close and disclosure processes.
• Coach and develop team members and contribute to wider finance priorities.

About the Role

A fast growing health and wellness DTC brand is hiring a senior accounting and reporting manager to lead its technical accounting, external reporting and financial controls agenda, advising senior finance leadership on complex accounting matters and significant corporate transactions.

Responsibilities

• Own the global consolidation cycle across entities and jurisdictions, including intercompany accounting, eliminations and currency translation, ensuring accurate and timely results
• Lead periodic financial reporting and regulatory filings, including disclosures, earnings materials and related reporting deliverables
• Carry out technical accounting analyses under US GAAP and IFRS, with clear, audit-ready documentation and positions on areas such as revenue, leases, financial instruments, equity compensation, inventory and impairment
• Build, document and continually improve a robust internal control environment, working with process owners and internal and external audit to close any gaps
• Support accounting for significant transactions, including valuations, acquisition accounting, pro forma analysis and changes in accounting framework
• Work with external auditors and advisors on technical matters, and present key judgments and recommendations to executive leadership
• Develop scalable accounting policies and track changes in accounting standards and regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with finance, legal, tax, treasury and business partners to streamline the close, reporting and disclosure processes
• Coach and develop team members and contribute to wider finance priorities as they arise

Qualifications

• Degree in accounting, finance or a related discipline; an active CPA is strongly preferred

Required Skills

• Extensive progressive experience in accounting, financial reporting or advisory, ideally within a public company or professional services firm
• Exposure to capital-markets or financing activity, accounting-framework conversions or evolving reporting requirements
• Deep US GAAP and IFRS expertise and solid knowledge of public-company reporting requirements, with hands-on experience preparing or reviewing financial statements
• Proven experience supporting complex transactions and writing technical accounting memos and disclosures
• Strong communication, project management and cross-functional leadership skills
• Ability to deliver high-quality work to tight, changing deadlines
