Job summary

Whirlpool Corporation in the Benton Harbor, MI area seeks a Senior Manager of External Reporting and Policies and Procedures to oversee global external financial reporting and the preparation of SEC filings in accordance with US GAAP. You will provide technical accounting guidance, maintain financial policies, and partner with audit teams while driving regulatory compliance and control effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; active CPA or equivalent
• 5+ years in External Reporting, Technical Accounting, or Corporate Controllership in a large public company or Big Four
• Deep knowledge of US GAAP and SOX; SEC reporting experience (10-K, 10-Q)

Responsibilities

• Develop, update, and interpret global financial policies and procedures for US GAAP/SEC compliance
• Lead preparation, review, and filing of SEC documents (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K)
• Serve as global owner for technical accounting on complex transactions including M&A
