Job summary

Abbott Park, IL-based position Manager of Executive Compensation provides subject matter expertise for Abbott’s corporate officers. You will lead development, analysis and execution of executive compensation programs to attract, retain and reward senior leaders.

You’ll also prepare materials for the Compensation Committee, conduct data analysis and benchmark against peers, and advise senior leadership on policy and governance matters.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, Economics, Finance or relevant field.
• 5+ years overall work experience in compensation or related field.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities and timelines.
• Advanced skills with Microsoft Office and project management tools.
• Ability to work with teams and interact with stakeholders and senior management.
• Excellent organizational, time management, problem-solving and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, analysis and execution of executive compensation programs to attract, retain and reward Abbott’s senior leaders.
• Develop materials for the Compensation Committee meetings.
• Perform internal/external data analysis, interpret findings and present proposals to senior leadership.
• Benchmark executive compensation against industry and proxy peers and present findings clearly.
• Serve as SME on topics including grantor trust administration and officer appointments.
• Manage the administration of Abbott’s non-qualified deferred compensation plans.
