Job summary

Abbott Park, IL is seeking a Manager of Executive Compensation within the CHR Corporate Human Resources division. You will provide executive compensation subject matter expertise for Abbott’s corporate officers.

The role leads development and execution of compensation programs, prepares materials for the Compensation Committee, conducts data analysis, benchmarks against peers, and serves as SME on related topics, including deferred compensation plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, Economics, Finance or relevant field.
• 5+ years total experience in compensation or related fields.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities and project timelines.
• Advanced skills with Microsoft Office and project management tools.
• Ability to work with teams and senior stakeholders.
• Strong organizational, time management, problem-solving, influencing, communication and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, analysis and execution of executive compensation programs to attract, retain and reward Abbott’s senior leaders.
• Responsible for the development of all materials for the Compensation Committee meetings.
• Perform internal/external data analysis, interpret findings, develop and present proposals/recommendations to senior leadership.
• Conduct ongoing competitive analysis of executive compensation and pay components by benchmarking against industry and proxy peers and present findings in a concise and constructive manner
• Serve as the subject matter expert on a variety of topics including but not limited to: grantor trust administration, officer appointments and retirements, proxy advisor modeling, officer goal setting/scoring and more
• Manage the administration of Abbott’s non-qualified deferred compensation plans
