Job summary

Rack Room Shoes is seeking a Senior Database/Data Platform Lead to oversee and optimize our Oracle databases and data warehouse environments. You will ensure high availability, security, backup/recovery, and disaster recovery readiness while guiding a team of DBAs in a fast-paced retail IT setting.

The role requires 10+ years of Oracle DB administration and 5+ years in leadership, based in Charlotte, NC, with responsibility for enterprise data services and collaboration with IT and business

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years administering Oracle Databases.
• Minimum 5 years in a leadership role.
• Located in Charlotte, NC or willing to relocate.

Responsibilities

• Oversee enterprise database platforms (Oracle, Oracle EBS) operations.
• Maintain data warehouse environments for reliability, scalability, and performance.
• Ensure high availability, security, backup/recovery, and DR readiness for all platforms.
• Mentor and develop Database Administrators and Data Platform professionals.
• Establish monitoring, patch management, capacity planning, and governance.
