Job summary

Amazon AWS seeks a Senior Manager, Software Development to lead two or more ECS teams in Seattle, WA. You will own the technical direction, roadmap, and delivery for ECS features and infrastructure, partnering with senior leaders to set a long-term vision and execute quarterly plans.

You will recruit and grow engineering talent, drive operational excellence, and ensure high-quality software delivery at global scale across AWS. This is a fulltime, on-site leadership role.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of engineering experience.
• 5+ years of engineering team management experience.
• 10+ years of planning, designing, developing and delivering consumer software.
• Experience partnering with product or program management teams.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent programs and teams in Agile.

Responsibilities

• Lead two or more engineering teams responsible for ECS services at global scale.
• Own the full software development lifecycle from requirements to delivery and operations.
• Define and execute a multi-year technical roadmap aligned to product strategy.
• Build and scale an engineering organization in Seattle, hiring and developing engineers.
• Translate customer requirements into engineering plans with clear milestones.
