Job summary

Central Garden & Pet is seeking a Manager or Sr. Manager of Digital Analytics to advance the digital measurement approach for Pet eCommerce. You will lead SQL, DAX, and PowerBI work, building data ingestion pipelines and turning reports into versioned products with release cycles for AI-enhanced insights.

The role reports to the VP of eCommerce, Pet, and balances 60/40 between building and partnering. Hybrid work in Schaumburg, IL, with four days onsite and one remote day, supports collaboration

Qualifications

• 5+ years in analytics, data engineering, or commercial analysis, including at least 1 year directing work.
• Strong SQL and working Python, with ownership of a production data pipeline end to end: API ingestion, transformation, testing, reconciliation, monitoring.
• PowerBI with semantic model design, Power Query, DAX beyond basic measures, incremental refresh, row level security, deployment discipline.
• Practical, validated use of large language models in analytical work and judgment to validate output.
• Retail, CPG, or eCommerce fluency with direct exposure to how commercial decisions get made.

Responsibilities

• Own our digital measurement baseline for sales, share, traffic, conversion, and media efficiency across retailers.
• Engineer data pipelines across retailer portals, retail media platforms, and internal systems with a modern architecture.
• Publish the reporting layer as a product: semantic models with versioned releases and retirement paths.
• Deliver reads that influence decisions: category performance, promo effectiveness, media incrementality, and fulfillment exposure.
• Apply AI to analytics: automate recurring analysis and executive summaries with evals and checks.
• Build and maintain scorecards across content quality, AI retrieval share, and KPIs with agencies.
• Manage and grow a Sr Digital Media Analyst and provide guidance to embedded analysts.
