Position Summary...
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Manager, Design & Construction to lead and drive various construction and engineering projects with a primary focus on new club builds for Sam's Club. This role involves developing, evaluating, and managing project schedules, ensuring timely and accurate information for contractors, managing material procurement, supporting contract execution, and driving system issue resolution. The ideal candidate will be adept at overseeing document preparation, managing project expenses, and driving major corporate change initiatives related to new club construction.
What you'll do...
  • Project Management: Develop, evaluate, and manage project schedules, ensuring synchronization of material procurement and delivery.
  • Contract Execution: Support and ensure execution of contracts, drive system issue resolution, and request design changes to meet budget, timeline, and quality standards.
  • Document Oversight: Oversee document preparation and completion, ensuring project close documentation and monitoring project expenses.
  • Corporate Change Initiatives: Lead large-scale cross-functional strategies, develop and drive strategic initiatives, and partner with business sponsors.
  • Design Innovation: Identify new design format prototypes, collaborate with internal and external teams, and develop innovative strategies to improve member experience and operations.
  • Onsite Management: Provide onsite construction management direction, ensure construction quality, and engage in public relations activities.
  • Business Execution: Identify customer and operational needs, develop business plans and priorities, and remove barriers to performance.
  • Supervision and Development: Select, train, mentor, and evaluate associates, build a team-based work environment, and ensure diversity awareness.
  • Policy Promotion: Promote and support company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity.
  • Continuous Improvement: Evaluate current plans and initiatives, solicit feedback, and support community outreach events.

The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00-$155,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications...

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering or related field and 2 years' experience in general contractor, commercial construction or related field OR 6 years' experience in operations, Real Estate, Construction, or related field. 2 years' of supervisory experience.
