Job summary

Oracle is seeking a seasoned professional to lead and manage the construction of data centers with colocation providers, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery and high-quality standards. You will supervise multiple project teams, direct design reviews, commissioning, and risk mitigation, and act as the primary contact with external vendors and suppliers.

Responsibilities include planning, execution, QA, and ensuring alignment with approved designs, while driving continuous improvement and staff

Job Description

Leads and manages the construction of data centers by colocation providers, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to high‑quality standards. Supervises multiple project teams, offering strategic direction and resolving any issues that may arise during project cycles. Leads the creation, review, and maintenance of documentation, including design review, commissioning, and problem‑solving papers. Leads the management of quality control processes to ensure all construction activities meet design specifications and industry standards. Supervises comprehensive site walks and directs the startup and commissioning phases of major data center projects. Addresses gaps in risk identification and mitigation, and communicates potential impacts to senior management. Oversees the primary point of contact role between the company and colocation providers. Leads the selection, negotiation, and management of contracts with external vendors, contractors, and suppliers, ensuring contract compliance and performance. Leads the installation of power, cooling, networking, and structured cabling systems.

Responsibilities
  • Project Planning and Execution – Develops and maintains detailed project schedules, coordinates with colocation providers to ensure timely milestone delivery, and manages project budgets to optimize resource allocation.
  • Quality Assurance – Leads quality control processes, oversees coordination and integration of tenant fit‑out projects, and supervises site walks to ensure schedule adherence and quality throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Risk and Problem Management – Oversees risk profile evaluation, addresses gaps in risk identification, develops mitigation strategies, and communicates potential impacts to senior management.
  • Stakeholder and Vendor Management – Acts as the primary point of contact with colocation providers, maintains strategic relationships, and leads selection, negotiation, and management of contracts with external vendors, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Design Coordination – Collaborates with design teams to ensure construction activities align with approved design plans and specifications, and leads the installation of power, cooling, networking, and structured cabling systems.

  • Problem Solving – Directs teams on addressing complex operational and technical issues, analyzes data to identify solutions, and reviews unresolved or critical issues.
  • Continuous Learning – Encourages learning to deepen expertise, integrates best practices into strategic planning, and coaches teams on skill development.
  • Continuous Improvement – Drives teams to develop and implement ideas to increase efficiency and effectiveness of processes and workflows.
  • Performance and Development – Provides feedback and coaching, discusses development goals, and manages talent acquisition pipeline.
