Job Description
Assists in managing the construction of data centers by colocation providers, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Supports the creation, review, and maintenance of documentation, including design review, commissioning, and problem‑solving papers. Implements quality control processes to ensure all construction activities meet design specifications and industry standards. Conducts regular site walks and assists in the startup and commissioning phases of major data center projects. Identifies gaps in risk identification and mitigation and recommends standard corrective actions. Serves as the primary point of contact between the company and colocation providers. Assists in the selection, negotiation, and management of contracts with external vendors, contractors, and suppliers, ensuring contract compliance and construction activities align with the approved design plans and specifications. Assists in overseeing the installation of power, cooling, networking, and structured cabling systems.
Position is remote but requires 50% travel.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular site walks to ensure quality standards are met and in line with lease and contract documents.
- Meet with developers, general contractors, subcontractors, designers, and other key stakeholders to uphold design documents and industry best practices.
Quality Control
- Execute quality control processes to verify construction activities meet design specifications and industry standards.
- Identify gaps, recommend corrective actions, and implement mitigation strategies for major construction risks.
Construction Project Management – Project Planning & Execution
- Assist in managing the construction of data centers by colocation providers, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, working closely with colocation providers to ensure timely delivery of milestones.
- Manage project budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources and cost‑effective delivery.
- Support the creation, review, and maintenance of documentation, including design review, commissioning, and problem‑solving papers.
Construction Project Management – Project Integration & Quality Assurance
- Oversee quality control processes to ensure all construction activities meet design specifications and industry standards.
- Coordinate and integrate tenant fit‑out projects by following established procedures and providing support during design, construction, and commissioning phases.
- Assist in the startup and commissioning phases of major data center projects, ensuring all systems are operational and meet design specifications.
Risk & Problem Management
- Evaluate risk profiles associated with timely project delivery.
- Identify gaps in risk identification and mitigation and recommend corrective actions.
- Implement mitigation strategies for major construction project risks.
Stakeholder & Vendor Management
- Act as the primary point of contact between the company and colocation providers, facilitating clear and effective communication.
- Develop and maintain key relationships to effectively support internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist in the selection, negotiation, and management of contracts with external vendors, contractors, and suppliers, ensuring contract compliance and performance.
Design Coordination & Improvement
- Collaborate with design teams to ensure construction activities align with the approved design plans and specifications.
- Provide ongoing colocation provider evaluation input for continuous improvement.
- Assist in overseeing the installation of power, cooling, networking, and structured cabling systems.
Qualifications

Compensation & Benefits
Range: US: Hiring Range in USD $87,000–$178,100 per year. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
