Senior Manager, Data Analytics - Product and Marketing Analytics

Join Walmart as a Senior Manager, Data Analytics - Product and Marketing Analytics.

Position Overview

This role is based in Walmart's US eCommerce Marketplace team, focusing on empowering sellers worldwide to reach millions of buyers. You will lead data-driven initiatives to optimize product strategies and marketing efforts, translating complex data into actionable insights to influence product development, marketing campaigns, and customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Driving Product Strategy: Collaborate with product managers to define KPIs, analyze user behavior, and identify opportunities for product improvement and innovation.
  2. Optimizing Marketing Performance: Analyze campaign data across channels, measure ROI, and develop A/B testing strategies to enhance marketing effectiveness.
  3. Building Analytics Frameworks: Develop dashboards and reports to monitor key metrics and communicate insights effectively.
  4. Conducting Deep Analyses: Analyze customer and seller data for trends and opportunities, supporting market research and competitive analysis.
  5. Designing Experiments: Develop and execute A/B tests, applying statistical techniques to interpret results.
  6. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with teams across Product, Marketing, Engineering, and UX to promote data-informed decision-making.
  7. Data Visualization and Reporting: Create insightful dashboards and reports using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
  8. Developing Predictive Models: Use machine learning and statistical methods to forecast trends and behaviors.
  9. Ensuring Data Integrity: Maintain high data quality and adhere to governance standards, designing data models and pipelines for efficient reporting.
  10. Platform Instrumentation: Set up data elements within analytics platforms such as MixPanel, Google Analytics, and Amplitude.
  11. Supporting Business Reviews: Provide actionable insights during weekly, monthly, and quarterly reviews to influence strategic planning.
Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics, Statistics, or related field with 4+ years of experience in data analytics within eCommerce, Marketplace, or Supply Chain environments.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, or similar tools, and experience with analytics platforms like Google Analytics, MixPanel, or Amplitude.

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, or related fields with 7+ years of relevant experience.
