Job summary

The State of Idaho’s enterprise IT organization seeks a Critical Network Services Manager III to lead core networking, firewalls, and perimeter security across statewide operations. This senior role provides strategic direction and ensures secure, resilient connectivity for state agencies, healthcare systems, and emergency response activities.

Experience supervising staff in an IT function.
Experience participating in short- and long-range IT planning.
Knowledge of information technology trends and capabilities.
Experience working in regulated environments (healthcare/federal).

Responsibilities

Manage team readiness for emergency activation events with FEMA NIMS/ICS-aligned workflows.
Coordinate technical leadership with statewide operations centers and healthcare/federal partners.
Develop policies and standards reflecting regulated environments and emergency infrastructures.
Oversee core firewall and network security operations supporting COOP and DR.
Direct technical response during SOC/JOC activations.
Manage interoperable network services between state agencies, federal partners, and healthcare systems.
Support high-availability clinical systems networking during emergencies.
