Yahoo Inc. is seeking a hands-on Sr Manager, Corporate Accounting to own payroll, benefits, long-term incentive, and restructuring accounting. You will lead a small team through monthly and quarterly closes, review journal entries, and ensure SOX compliance while partnering with Finance, HR, and Legal.

The role emphasizes automation and AI adoption using Oracle Financials, Gemini, and Claude, with a flexible hybrid work model in the United States.

Qualifications

8+ years of progressive accounting experience in a large public company or similarly complex global org.
CPA or progress toward professional accounting certification.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SOX compliance, and corporate accounting operations.
Experience with Oracle Financials; exposure to automation and AI tools.

Responsibilities

Manage and oversee accounting and close activities for payroll, benefits, long-term incentive, and restructuring accounting.
Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close for non-personnel accounting.
Prepare and review journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analyses.
Maintain and strengthen SOX key controls and documentation.
Partner cross-functionally with Finance, HR, FP&A, Legal, Procurement, and Finance Systems.
Serve as primary contact for internal and external auditors.
Drive automation and AI adoption to reduce manual work and improve accuracy.
Document and improve accounting policies, procedures, and workflows.
