Job summary

Yahoo seeks a Director of Corporate Accounting to oversee global non-personnel expense accounting, Cap labor capitalization, lease accounting, and fixed assets. You will manage a four-person team, ensure accurate close under U.S. GAAP and SOX, and drive automation across processes.

Reporting to the Senior Director, you will partner with FP&A, HR, Legal, Procurement, and operations to improve efficiency and controls while advancing AI-driven analytics and scalability.

Qualifications

• CPA required.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including management in large public companies.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SOX compliance.

Responsibilities

• Manage large dollar and high volume of Cap labor submissions.
• Review and approve internally developed software projects for capitalization.
• Implement controls to ensure accurate recording and reporting of Cap Labor.
• Lead quarterly Capital Labor Committee meetings and project reviews.
• Mentor and develop a team of four accounting professionals.
• Ensure timely monthly, quarterly, and annual close in compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal policies.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with FP&A, HR, Legal, Procurement, and business stakeholders.
• Drive process automation and leverage AI tools to improve reconciliations and reporting.
