We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Manager, Contracts in the Mission Solutions & Payloads (MSP) sub Strategic Business Unit (SBU) within the Air & Space Defense Systems SBU. In this role, you will manage U.S. Government (USG) Department of Defense (DoD) prime contracts, Other Transaction agreements, and subcontracts with U.S. Government Prime Contractors.

The role involves strategic contract management, including guidance, administration, change management, and communication. You will report to the Contracts Director of the Enterprise & Strategic Mission Systems program area and collaborate with program management and cross-functional teams. Ideal candidates will be motivated, well-organized, and enjoy working in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.

What You Will Do
  1. Analyze Requests for Proposal (RFP), develop proposals, review and coordinate proposals, negotiate, and execute contracts.
  2. Lead change management actions such as Engineering Change Proposals (ECP).
  3. Review estimates at completion (EAC).
  4. Collaborate with various teams to construct, submit, and negotiate pricing proposals.
  5. Support program management and execution reviews.
  6. Ensure negotiated terms comply with company policies.
  7. Provide contract management to meet obligations, objectives, and policies.
  8. Advise stakeholders on contractual and business issues, rights, obligations, and risk mitigation.
  9. Supervise, lead, coach, and mentor team members.
  10. Identify, mitigate, and resolve contractual issues.

Minimal travel (<5%) to customer locations.

Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience with at least 10 years relevant experience, or an advanced degree with at least 7 years’ experience.
  • Experience with U.S. Government contracts under FAR and DFARS regulations.
  • Experience leading and mentoring teams.

  • Experience in a fast-paced environment managing multiple programs.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Experience with complex contracts, risk mitigation, and change management.
