Job summary

Glint Tech Solutions in San Francisco seeks a Sr. Manager / Director of Application Engineering to lead customer-facing engineering across the product lifecycle, from early design through validation, NPI, production launch, and post-launch support.

You will bridge customers with global R&D, Quality, and Manufacturing teams to drive design-in, design-win, and cross-functional execution on connector programs. Strong CAD and bilingual skills are essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in mechanical/electrical/electronic field or related area.
8+ years of Application Engineering / Field Application Engineering experience.
Strong background in connectors, interconnects, or precision electronic components.
Knowledge of stamping, molding, and assembly in manufacturing.
Ability to read 2D/3D drawings and GD&T, and technical specifications.
Experience with CAD tools such as Creo or SolidWorks.
Fluent English and Mandarin Chinese for business communication.

Responsibilities

Lead customer-facing engineering activities throughout the product lifecycle.
Partner with customers to understand requirements and recommend connector solutions.
Support early design activities, proposals, demonstrations, and design reviews.
Drive design-in and design-win activities with cross-functional teams.
Translate customer requirements into product and engineering specs.
Interface between customers and internal R&D, Quality, and Manufacturing teams.
Coordinate NPI, ECN, DFM, FAI, and product qualification and validation.
Oversee sample evaluation, testing, and customer approvals.
Troubleshoot issues and drive cross-functional resolution.
