Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a seasoned Head of Product Training to lead the strategy across the full product lifecycle in the pharmaceutical industry, from pre-launch through lifecycle updates. You will partner with Sales, Marketing, Medical Affairs, Market Access and leadership to translate priorities into field training and enablement plans and to drive launch readiness.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or medical industry.
  • 2 years in a commercial training or learning and development role.
  • 2 years in a pharmaceutical sales position.
  • Biosimilar experience preferred.
  • Successful communication with business leaders at all levels to design and develop innovative learning methodologies.
  • Experience leading organizational change initiatives.
  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Understanding of field and customer perspectives, with ability to communicate them to internal leaders for strategic decisions.
  • Ability to travel for meeting engagements, including National Sales Meetings, Regional POA Meetings, and training initiatives
  • Ability to travel domestically for meetings, trainings, programs, and customer visits (approximately 15–20%), potentially requiring overnight travel.
  • Must be able to effectively speak, read, write, and understand English.

Responsibilities

  • Lead product training strategy across the full product lifecycle, including pre-launch, launch, post-launch, lifecycle updates, new indications, competitive changes, and evolving market dynamics
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Commercial Operations, and Biopharma leadership to translate strategies and priorities into field training and enablement plans
  • Lead launch readiness and field enablement initiatives through training strategies, curricula, communication plans, field briefs, and supporting resources
  • Identify and assess field capability and knowledge gaps using business analysis, field insights, stakeholder feedback, performance data, and commercial priorities
  • Develop and execute field communication and enablement plans for new products, business opportunities, market developments, competitive dynamics, and strategy changes
  • Drive continuous learning and performance improvement through critical thinking, coaching, knowledge sharing, and adoption of best practices
  • Lead curriculum development and facilitation for national, regional, and other key commercial meetings
  • Lead partnerships with external training providers and vendors, including scope development, vendor selection and management, budget oversight, and quality assurance
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on product training and field enablement, consulting with leadership, global counterparts, and cross-functional stakeholders
