Job summary
FHLBank Chicago is seeking a Sr. Manager, Application Development to lead multiple engineering teams in designing, delivering, and supporting secure, scalable, cloud-enabled enterprise applications.
You will steer Workday and related systems within HR and Finance portfolios and drive enterprise agile delivery with modern practices. You will partner with stakeholders across IT, risk, and compliance to ensure high-quality software, architecture alignment, and operational excellence in a regulated
Qualifications
- 15+ years of software engineering and application development experience, including 5+ years managing high-performing engineering teams.
- Experience leading enterprise application portfolios including SaaS platforms, Workday HR/Finance, and integrations.
- Strong knowledge of AWS, DevSecOps, CI/CD, and modern cloud-native architectures.
Responsibilities
- Provide senior technology leadership across HR and Finance applications portfolio, including Workday, custom apps, and SaaS platforms.
- Lead end-to-end software development lifecycle with architecture alignment, testing, deployment, and production readiness.
- Champion secure coding, automated testing, and CI/CD practices across teams.
