Job summary

McKesson seeks a Sr. Manager, Pharmacy Distribution Operations to oversee the day-to-day operations of a high-volume, automated pharmaceutical distribution center within the Central Fill network.

Based on-site with the customer, you will own the day-to-day relationship and drive safety, quality, service, and cost improvements. You will lead supervisors and staff, partner on strategic goals, manage daily production and resource planning, and ensure FDA/DEA/OSHA compliance.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree or equivalent experience in business, supply chain, operations, or related field.
• Central Fill and/or Pharmacy Operations and Inventory Management experience.
• Pharmacy Technician License or ability to become certified (McKesson offers training).
• Experience owning a customer relationship in a co-located or on-site setting.
• Ability to partner on regulatory audits and licensing.
• 9+ years of operations experience with 1+ year supervision/management.
• Financial skills: budgeting, forecasting, ROI analyses.
• Regulatory knowledge: FDA, DEA, OSHA, Board of Pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Own the customer relationship on-site, serving as McKesson's operational partner.
• Partner with the customer to set strategy and align operations with goals.
• Lead daily operations, planning, and prioritization to meet distribution targets.
• Track KPIs such as Cost per Script and Scripts per Hour to drive improvements.
• Ensure safety, accuracy, and regulatory compliance in all dispensations.
• Support audits and licensing inspections with the customer.
• Drive process improvements and build business cases for upgrades.
• Develop and coach team members; embody ICARE and ILEAD values.
• Prepare performance reports and coordinate cross-functional communication.
• Manage vendors, budgets, and training programs to stay audit-ready.
• Support system installations and staffing forecasting for volume shifts.
